Big Snake Dreams

We practiced near Deep Ellum in the Mitchell (now Mitchell swanky Lofts) building during the mid to late 1980's. A three member band, Big Snake Dreams had Drums, Bass, and Guitar. William Garcia played bass and sang. John Barrett played guitar and did back-up vocals. John Davis played drums. I remember us being very loud.

Fort Worth, Austin, and Shreveport, Louisiana were the most notable road dates. In Shreveport we ended up crashing at the bartender's house and awoke at 8:00 am the next day to the sound of his phone ringing off the wall. It seems he was sidelining as a Bookie.

Deep Ellum was vastly unexplored or utilized then but we managed to play at most of the preferred "venues" like Theatre Gallery with it's dilapitated interior that included a crude latrine-like bathroom or Prophet Bar and Club Clearview.
